1 Why does my iPod keep freezing up?
The data seems to have been lost from my i pod. I try to reload it from my computer and it freezes up.

most likely there is a problem with the hard drive. but it is possible it there could be a small defect on the mother board. this model is pretty old though so it could be just its age that is catching up with it.

Hi Debra, have you tried seaching the answers for "ipod freezes up" to see if your problem has been solved earlier?
