My iPhone 5S has some charging problems which I'm describing below(?)

My iPhone 5S shows that it is charging when plugged in, but the battery percentage does not increase. It sometimes increases but super slowly. I have tried a new battery, but the problem persists. I have changed wall outlets and chargers as well to no avail. When it runs out of power and dies, it takes a while to get back on. The time for that widely varies. So one point to note is that the iPhone 5S charges and it does not. They are two quite conflicting phenomena. It is not like where you lose the FL11 or where you got a damaged U2 IC both of which cause your iPhone to not charge at all(although the bolt on battery indicator may appear). I started to doubt the lightning port but I have to tell you that I have one more iPhone 5S exactly suffering from the same problem. The older one never got to come in contact with water but it started having the problem I'm talking about on its own. I did not bother to get it repaired cos I was getting a relative's nearly brand new iPhone 5S who was getting an iPhone 6 plus. The newer iPhone got a little bath while I was cleaning a client's/customer's home with water. I had never opened both of the iPhone 5Ses before the symptoms started to show so there is no chance of me knocking off the FL11s from them. Please help me. I'm desperate.

Additional data that might help the diagnosing:

1. Even brand new batteries drain about 1.5 times faster than usual.

2. (I'll keep adding to this list as I learn new things.)

Try cleaning the charger port with a toothpick or something equivilant and see if that helps. (Only do this if the charging cable does not plug in fully into the port.)

Have you also tried changing the charging port / charging dock assembly?

You tried another wall charger and charging cable right?

I do not think changing charger port would help. It is hard to fathom that both of the iPhone 5Ses' charger port would be faulty at around the same time when I have always been nice to both of them. At most, one of the two could be faulty.

Anyways, how many vertical columns of metallic dots have to be there next to the battery connector in iPhone 5S where iPhone 5 has two columns in which the 1st column-2nd row has the FL 11? Where is the FL11 in iPhone 5s?
