Overheating gpu cause freeze up?

Hi there

Recently i cleaned my gpu and i had a little silicone paste left to put on its chip , as result it gets hot above 50 c degres easily and when gaming reaches 60

Soo i added more now but it still gets hotttt reaches 45 c when doing normal tasks but theres a case fan under it and its nativly a silent (fanless) card.

Im sure there no air buble on chip

Gpu: Old ddr2 agp 6200 nvidia

Outside temp 34c
