White screen of death, "normal" start up

My iPhone 6 took a ride in the washing machine the other day, maybe 5 minutes. I immediately turned it off and aired it out, placed it in silica gel, and waited 48 hours.

48 hours transpire and I give it a shot. It works. Flawless. Both appearance and function are good. This goes on for 4 hours, absolutely no issues, and then BOOM in mid use the phone goes black and is "off".

I wait again. Now when I turn my phone on I have a start up screen that is normal (black background white apple), but when the start up is done it goes to the white screen of death rather than the home screen.

TLDR; What is causing wsod on my iPhone 6 (washing machine)?

First of all, get a new battery. Then remove the logic board and put it in 91% isopropyl alcohol. Remove all the emi shields and brush gently with toothbrush. Put phone together with new battery and see if it works before you go wasting $300 on a new logic board.

Good God those logic boards are expensive. Is there a way to test the logic board with a multimeter to rule that out? I would imagine if I see any blown components I can make an easy assumption that the board is done, fingers crossed. I'm going to open it up tonight.

First just look for any discolored solder or components. The isopropyl bath is always the first thing you should do when repairing water damage.

Have the isopropyl and correct tools to take her apart. If I run into any further issues I will follow up, otherwise, thank you!

If/when I remove the emi sheilds from the logic board am I supposed to put them back on? If so I can't find any info on that.

I usually don't put them back on. Here's what I usually do to remove them: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QQXIAukijG...

It might be a dead logic board. I don't think it's a dead display since it's able to normally display the splash screen. You might want to order the Reemplazo de Placa Lógica del iPhone 6.
