Cant turn on WiFi?
About two days ago I was walking on a somewhat tilted deck in a marina, and long story short I slipped into the water, sadly with my HTC One m9 in my pocket. I was in stomach high water for about ten seconds before I climbed out, phone still in pocket. I immediately turned off my phone even though it worked fine for the second I was looking at it. I proceeded to take it out of its case and dry it thoroughly , and let it sit in the warm sun for about two hours. Later It wouldn't turn on, and when charged the device would turn on and stay on, but the screen would flicker and go to black. After leaving it sitting for one night, I faced the same results. At this point I Decided to take advice from a friend who has been in this situation many times before, and let it sit in an oven running at 115° F for a couple hours, to remove any major water in the phone. I came back, let it cool down, plugged it in, and let it charge for about ten minutes, and then turned it on, and to my joy it worked! Although it may have been slow and somewhat unresponsive for the first minutes using it, it has now become smooth as ever with everything BUT one of the most crucial aspects of a phone, Wi-Fi. I am able to flawlessly use my LTE coverage, yet whenever I attempt to enable Wi-Fi it attempts to for about a minute then says ERROR where the icon is. After hours of use of the phone and its regular functions, I still get the same result, and it leads me to believe that somehow the built in Wi-Fi card was damaged while the rest of the phone survived. If there is any way to attempt to fix this, it would be much appreciated, as I am currently on vacation and cannot get a new phone through the warranty I have until I am home, and I would rather not burn up all of my data using my phone. Thanks and sorry for the long read.
Es esta una buena pregunta?
