Touch stops will stop working occasionally

So I got this iPhone 5S in today that I am completely stumped on, the touch will work perfect and then suddenly it will stop responding until I smack it to the palm of my hand gently and it will immediately start working again. I have tried 3 different LCD assembly's all original apple parts and tested for functionality on another device. The same thing happens. Any ideas?

Most probably touch IC failure.

It (they) will need replacing or reballing.

Otherwise touch failure that's not due to a bad screen can be due to a number of things on your logic board: the connector, some caps or filters leading to the touch ICs, or the touch ICs themselves.

This is repairable but not a DYI project nor for a tech not trained at Microsoldering.

yes sounds like touch ic, there are also small ic's near the connector and if knocked during fitting the screen can also give this issue.

I have absolutely no idea if this can be fixed or not but I think

I have found my problem. As suspected by me and many of you I believe I have some logic board damage. I have included a picture of the logic board in my 5S next to another fully functioning 5S logic board. After removing the black sticker that goes around the connectors there is a visible difference between the two. The one having the touch issue looks a greenish rainbow color. Note that the board has not sustained any water damage. After removing the screens bracket and tinkering with that a bit when the board stops responding to touch I can tap the board near the touch ic controller and it will immediately start working again Until it stops working. I have not noticed a pattern per say at all and even if I try I can't get the touch to turn off again once it's back on other than waiting for it to stop so I can't figure out what causes it to stop. Anyway this is probably very confusing for most of you and I am not expecting a fix, but I am kind of wondering what could have caused this damage pictured? I am positive it is somewhat related.
