Can I use bags that are not from FoodSaver?
Are there other bags out there that I could use for my vacuum sealer?

Technically, if they are made from the same material, the off-brand bags will do the job. However, the FoodSaver bags are designed to keep air out longer, and are therefore better to use. Also, FoodSaver bags are BPA free to keep you and your food healthier to consume.
