HTC One battery dead with no warning

Hi!

My HTC One 32g is 8 months old, and now shuts down down due to dead battery with no warning.

Its happening at 30 - 60% charge, with no indication the battery is about to run out. Is this a battery issue or a bigger problem?

It could be numeorus things that could be causing your battery to drain much faster from programs and apps running in the background. Charging your phone and never powering it down while it's charging. Click on the link below for tips to extend and isolate a defective battery. If you do all the steps and phone still dies quick then yes it's the battery that needs to be replaced.

The battery dies already above 50%. Pretty sure the battery is faulty and needs to be replaced

To OP: Don't use cheap car chargers, bad quality chargers or cables. They can cause this issue in the long run.
