How to replace battery of JBL Go Bluetooth Speaker

The JBL Go Bluetooth Speaker is one powerhouse in a small shell.

It holds within a Lithium-ion polymer (3.7V, 600mAh) battery.

Now this is a tight fit rubber texture case with no slits to open the case.

It would be really great to be able to replace the battery and bring the speaker back to life.

Looking forward for a teardown

There is glue around every corner but you can manage to pop out the grill with a little bit of patience… Mine keeps one tiny chip from the operation…

You will find really good tutorials on YouTube and I found this awesome battery upgrade which leads you to 15 hours of music : https://m.aliexpress.com/item/4000526511...

Only thing to handle was to use the white wire for the blue one as the item I received was with red, white, black wired. In other words this is a huge upgrade for 9 bucks…

May be a huge upgrade, but the battery's formfactor is huge too, compared to the original battery, had to modify the case, and i'm still not sure if it's a good thing that the speaker is very close to the battery...
