Prior to lcd install, screen was black , new lcd turns on and lights up beautifully, can't swipe to unlock though. Have tried hard reset many times to no avail.

Check your connections on the actual led and on the logic board.

I have disassembled three times and updated to the new iOS. The screen will not unlock. Siri can open phone but have no touch.

i had problem with the touch connection on the iphone 5c. It had to be just right fit to make the touch work.
If you get the click sound, then you are got good connection, if not, redo the connection.

try the old lcd, do you have the same problem with the old lcd?
