jamsheer, first we need to specifically identify your problem. Is your battery not charging? I'm not sure what battery backup means. If it isn't charging, check for lint in the charging (lightning) port. Often enough accumulates to prevent the pins from contacting each other.

how have you determined that the battery is not the issue? Has it been replaced recently? Battery usage is variable depending on your applications running. For example, the Facebook app is known to be a resource hog and battery drain. Are you using Bluetooth? If not, disable that in Settings to increase battery life.

Let's start with the basics:

1. you confirmed the phone is being charged properly. Are you using an authentic apple charger and cable? If not, you may have damaged an internal chip related to charging. That's a very involved and difficult fix - not for a generalist.

2. If your cable/charger are authentic Apple and it's charging ok, you could have an issue with the battery itself. You mentioned that you changed it. It's not unheard of to get a bad battery upon replacement. Did the old battery exhibit the same symptoms and thats' why you replaced it?

3. you need to determine if there's a specific app that is draining the phone. Fully charge the phone to 100%, shutdown the phone and restart. Do NOT start any apps. Verify how long the battery lasts running no apps and report back here.
