I wait with baited breath

@jimfixer - I was married for 14 years. Two kids, Got rich by writing stock market analyses program on an Apple II, and playing the stock options market. Big house, Mercedes, planes, businesses, women and Scotch. Became a broker. Then crashed and lost everything, including self respect. All I had left was my Apple and a Bible. I spent the next thirty years getting to know those two very well. Ordained in 1994 and became one of the top Mac experts in the world, a mans' got to eat. I did meet a female teacher customer that I have been dating for the last three years. (I told G-d that He would have to bring her to my door and He did ;-) But I'm a hard opinionated pill to swallow. My life is about helping others (probably because there was no one there to help me when I needed it). Plato said "know thyself". To support an ego as big as mine takes a lot of work and study. I do the work, do the research and give the answers. An ego can be a hard beast to feed. I'm almost 70 now so I don't know how much longer I can continue. But the work really keeps my mind at it's peak.

I will not "go gentle into that good night", I will continue to "rail against the man". I will fight dishonesty and injustice. I will adhere to, as Edmund Burke said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." In short I have become the man I always wanted to be, a crotchety old toot. I do my best to live every day like it was my last. And I'm very happy with it. Lonely? Not very!
