My brother was using this broken headphone set because my original earbuds broke, so today i bought a new pair and I couldnt connect them... turns out the connection part of the old headphones broke into half and the front part was stuck connected inside my ipod! I can't take it out! Any ideas?

You should be able to get the tip out by removing the back panel of the iPod and then pushing it out from inside using a pin or other thin metal device.

Once inside, you'll have better access to the rear of the audio jack, which hopefully is like the others and has the strip of moisture sensing paper at the end, which you can remove to gain access to the hole at the inside end of the jack.

isnt there an easier way or another method? Because I find it a little bit risky and hard to do it and I dont have the necessary tools to open it :S
You're right, it is a risky procedure, but that's the sure way to remove it.
I have a second solution you should try. Get a plastic, wood, or metal stick that is the same size or slightly smaller than a headphone plug. Maybe like, a bamboo skewer a chopstick, or even another headphone plug. Put a drop of model airplane glue or super glue on the tip of the stick and press it into the hole against the broken tip. Hold pressure there until you're sure it is dry (once it's set, let it sit over night). Then hopefully you will be able to remove the stick with the tip glued to it. Don't use too much glue, or you'll risk gluing the tip into the jack.
This could work. I would try this before cracking the case open, and remember to let us know how it worked out.

Well, you can't fix something yourself without some risk. Generally the risk is lessened by the fact if you try it and mess it up, you've still got the same broken device, whereas if you don't try to repair it, you'll never know. If you don't use too much glue, and keep it only on the tip, you won't glue it in. This method is safest for your audio jack. If you go digging in there with a screwdriver from the outside you could damage the contacts in the jack. The tip is held in place by the contacts.
That is true...
I have the broken headset plug, it has the hole in the middle where the broken tip should go inside. Should I put glue inside the hole of it and plug it in? And with some luck it will stick again to the broken tip and then I can pull it out?

erm depends how deep the part got stuck... You could try using the small screwdriver with magnetic tip to try to take it out by simply inserting it in the headphone port and slowly pulling it out without forcing anything...
eventually you could try to pull it out with tweezers?

it is really in, it's like plugged, the ipod shows the volume bar showing it's connected, would the screwdriver work then?
