Why is my rice overheating and burning?
My device is coming on and working correctly but it is too hot. Sometimes, my rice burns.

Your hot plate could be broken if your device is cooking properly, but the heat will not decrease after you take the rice bowl out. In this case, you will need to replace the hot plate springs in order to fix this heating issue.

This unit appears to have a thermostat on it. Try turning it down and/or using a thermal IR heat gun to monitor the temperature. IR Thermometer
Replace the thermostat if it has failed.
