Only make/awnser calls in 3G

The phone has network connection in 2G and 3G but only makes/awnser calls in 3G?

Any suggestion?

Data Network has nothing to do with the ability to make and receive phone calls.

I know that, but 2G frequencies are different than 3G, and THIS is what is happening in this phone!!!!
