My super smash brothers Brawl game disc is clean and it did play at one time. Now it won't play at all and I get a disc read error. I bought a new game and it doesn't read either. I have updated my wii. What is the problem? I am out $60 for two games and no fun

Sounds like your lense is dirty. There are three options for cleaning it.
One is to take it apart using a guide from here. 2nd option is to buy an official cleaning disc from Nintendo. Third option is to make a cleaning disc using cardboard, an old CD, tape and a micro fiber/ cleaning cloth.
If one lense cleaning doesn't work, try cleaning it again. As a last resort you might need to replace the reader head or the whole drive.
