I have a nearly two year old Wii U and this is the first time I ever had problems with this system. Just turned on my Wii U and the TV screen is fine unti it glitches like mad. I only played on my Wii U for 3 days 2-4 hours. I just got a new game, it works fine! But im wondering if its the cables, do they need to be replaced? Or is it the Wii U itself?

Try connecting the Wii U to another television. If the same problem occurs it is the cables or the Wii U itself. If you can replicate the problem on another television try replacing the video cables. If it still occurs after cable replacement then the issue is with the machine itself.
If you can not replicate the issue on another television then the issue is with the port on your TV.
