Need a tutorial to replace Touch Screen

My touch screen on my New Nintendo 3DS XL has a lot of dead pixels and and the bottom right corner (not a huge area, but large enough to annoy me) is broken. I'd like to replace it with another screen I have that is perfectly fine.

Are there any good tutorials of how to replace just the bottom touch screen and put it back together properly? I worry about doing it myself right now. I did take apart another 3DS XL that was broken (Friend's that broke and he kept) and in taking it apart, with how it is so put together, not sure I could put it back together so well without a good set of instructions or help.

I know there's one that shows taking apart the 3DS as a whole, but I don't want to do that exactly and hoping I could take it apart without taking everything apart.

Also, wish I could back up all my data for my 3DS XL on my PC just in case something goes wrong and I could buy a new one. Pity Nintendo isn't as good as Sony in that regards of backing up and duplicating your saved data elsewhere.

That's the old nintendo 3DS, not the newest I thought. I believe both are built slightly differently ya?

Nope, it isnt't easy. Follow the iFixit guide to fully disassemble the 3ds bottom half, so motherboard, power/button board, analog stick, game slot, amiibo reader, etc. At the very bottom is the screen, take it out carefully (don't scratch your case), then take off the touch if you want to re-use that (peels right off) and put it/a new touch onto the new screen. Then put everything back together.

Good luck!
