I just replaced the cracked screen on my Imac 21.5 mid 2014. The problem I have is that before I could not even tell when the fan was running, this Imac was quiet. Well now as soon as I click the power button the FAN starts running at full speed and it will not stop at all.

If rpm=0 then control the fan connector , could be a fake contact of the rotation sensor , slightly pulls the wire into the connector , I have solved this way the problem

This sounds like an issue from older iMacs. Please confirm your exact machine by giving us the last four figures of your serial number.
