Resolution GAP between HDMI and USB

There's been a year since i bought my ppx3410 and my problem is that when i plug my usb and play a fulHD movie everything works terrific, the resolution is great ,i dont have latency .When i connect it with HDMI-cable to my pc the resolution seems bad.

Moreover when i play the same movie the resolution is by far worse than usb's.

I did some research and i made custom native resolution (854x480) when i plug the HDMI and the result is that pc's screen seems better but when i play a movie its the same bad. (it looks like angles-lines are pixeled, not a "smooth" picture)

Does anyone know if its possible to achive usb's resolution? with regards

Hi,

Have you checked the HDMI output from another device to your ppx3410. I'm wondering if it might be your PC rather than your ppx 3410 that is the problem

I plugged a DVB adapter with HDMI and the same results,i wonder if it has to do with 32/16 bits set... :/

Hi,

Don't know what software version your Pico is or if you have tried this but there is a software upgrade V3.05 dated 13.08.2015 (44.8Mb download - cannot find out what upgrade fixes, maybe info contained in the download, it's a .zip file) and instructions how to upgrade here

http://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/PPX3410_EU/...

be careful with firmware upgrades if in doubt - don't

oldturkey03 i dont understand what you are trying to say,Jayeff i will try it but another hint is that my current projector-wall Monitor distance is aprox 4m and my limit is 5m.When im reaching to aprox 3m its far better but in projector's properties doesnt mention that you cant surpass 3m on HDMI so as to have a projection with good sharpness
