New Digitizer Not Working
I just replaced the digitizer for a Kindle Fire HD 6. It didn't work (no response when touching the screen anywhere), so I had the company send me a replacement. It is not working either. Is there something that I have to do to get it to recognize the new digitizer? I know sometimes on iPhones, I had to do a reset on it (non-destructive) to get it to recognize the new screen. I have tried the soft reset on the Kindle Fire, but it's still not working.

Check the pins in the connector for the digitizer make sure all the pins are there and that none are bent or folded over on both the ribbon cable and the motherboard

Both of these are brand new digitizers. I did check the pins on both cables and they are perfect. The pins on the motherboard look fine as well.

are the pins seated completely . Did you disconnect the battery while replacing the digitizer

Yes, and yes. I have reseated the pins multiple times. The battery was unplugged when I connected the cable.
