I'm trying to purchase a home button assembly for the iPad Mini 3 with touch capability. It seems like this is the only one that comes close but doesn't have the touch capability. iPad mini 3 Home Button Assembly. Any idea where I may be able to purchase one?

The Touch ID chip is pared to the logic board of your iPad. There is not after market part that will make the Touch ID work.. Yet!
So for now you have to be ok just recovering basic home button functionality

Since iPhone 6, replacing the home button will also break the entire system altogether, you will get error 53 when reinstalling iOS. So don't replace home buttons with Touch ID anymore.
