I have the paper jam problem in my printer

- de

How do I open the rear access door on my Kodak ESP 3250. Nowhere is there an answer to that question. I need to clear a paper jam. Thank You

- de

The rear access door is behind the printer. There is a gray thing that you squeeze to the right if you turn the printer around. There is an arrow that tells you which way to squeeze. I have tried removing that and shaking the printer but there is no darn paper jam and just keeps telling me that stupid error. Of course you can't get support from kodak anymore so good luck.

and if you do ton fully reseat it then paper jams will occur

To resolve the error:

Press the On/Off button on the printer control panel to turn off your printer.

Wait 30 seconds.

Press the On/Off button to turn on your printer.

If the error continues, double-check that all paper and foreign objects are removed from inside your printer, then follow the link below.

NOTE: Even if you do not physically see a paper jam, you will need to follow the paper jam link to solve the error.

I have this problem too. Except mine is with the ESP9 Kodak printer. I've check & checked & checked again ALL through the whole printer & I dont see anything jammed. But yet it keeps saying paper jam. But when I try to turn the power off, it won't shut off. I have to unplug it to get it to shut off. I tried hitting cancel, ok, etc & all it does it beep at me. Same with the power button too. There isn't anything jammed in there, so why does it keep saying I have a paper jam? So frustrating! Also, its showing that its offline. I have Windows 7.

If someone could Please help, I would really really appreciate it. Thank you!!

I never could find what was causing the so called "paper jam" there wasn't anything in there, at least as much as I could find. & I tried taking it apart as much as I could & checking everywhere I could. I ended up having to pitch the printer & get another one. Terrible, since I only had the printer less then a year. & I really liked the printer, until I couldn't use it any more from the so called "paper jam".

Your problem assumingly has been the pick up roller. It gets worn down over the time. Next time you have that problem try to clean it with some alcohol. Helps most of the time.

To identify: The pick up roller is a piece of rubber (mostly grey) on a roll. The roller can be completely round or some sort band. It should have a pretty rough surface which get smooth over the time

just where the ink holder sits move it to the side manually and you should see a sponge holder thing i think it is for cleaning the ink, beside it is a gear usually abit dirty with ink, this is the gear that has come out of sync. So get a screw driver and try to move it, then press ok try this again and again, also move the ink spongie thing up or down too and keep fiddling with these to parts until it starts to work again. If and when working go to maintenance and go through and select all the options....

I too have this problem and have tried doing all advised. I have cleaned the surplus ink off all surrounding components as far as possible and still no joy. Cannot seem to find how to remove casing to access the workings of the machine.

When you turn the printer on as it starts up do you hear the gears move as if it were about to load paper if so turn the printer off and manually roll the bar that feeds the paper through back about half a turn. When you turn the printer on if this bar moves and covers that half turn then I personally would think the gears or some thing is out of sync and would try fiddling with it that way. But it the printers firmware is unresponsive I would locate the chipboard and hope there is a cmos battery and remove it to try and reset the firmware, although with printers this is rarely the case and when you get errors the printer won't let you do much with it's settings and sometimes only be fit to unplug it just to get it to turn off until the error is fixed

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue too. I got SO fed up with trying to fix it. that I just trashed it & got another printer. The new printer I made sure I could get inside & to the rollers & where ever needed of there would ever be a problem. I really liked the Kodak printer until it wouldn't work any more because it kept saying I had a paper jam, when there clearly was NO paper jam.

I had this problem on my Advent AW10 and it's not caused by a paper jam. The printer fails the start up tests and is caused by the printer head cleaning station being gummed up with old ink. You need to disassemble the printer in order to completely remove it however you can remove the white tray by carefully prying it out. Clean it thoroughly in hot soapy water and clean inside of the printer and gears clear of ink much as you can. If you completely remove the cleaning station you'll find out where all your ink goes!

Read the answer above. Check the head cleaning station isn't stuck with old ink.
