How to get it to shut down when it won't shut down?

Texas Instruments TI-30Xa Scientific Calculator has no red band or anything like that going through it it is stuck on zero and it will not shut off at all . How do I get it to shut shut off so it does not run down the batteries in it?

Have you tried to press the off button?

It's right below the on button.
