I replaced the digitizer and now the screen is jumping all over the place and erratic. I've tried taping everything. On the third bought screen I made sure the flex cable was tucked instead of bent. Nothing i do will fix this issue. Someone please help.

Hi Richie,
I had this problem a few times now.
The best way to deal this problem is to try your digitizer without completely closing your iPad.
For example, try it horizontaly. Is it working fine? If no, then is the parts or the motherboard.
If its working fine but start having trouble as you install it then it may be the parts or the way you handle the flex cable.
Try to see from which point does it start to jump around. Usually, you'll be able to figure out if its the digizer that make a metal to metal contact somewhere or if its the flex cable that didnt like his day.
I had a pretty much even situation between bad digitizer, miss hsndling the flex cable and none covered metal parts.

You're on the right track--taping, and making sure the digi flex is tucked toward the LCD not the frame.
Digitizer ghosting is almost always a part problem, but check your digitizer connector.
Try a new screen--the cheap ones are the worst---expect to spend at least $40 for a quality iPad mini screen

I have been through about 5 screens. All cheap 20 dollar screens. I tried the last one I put it on. I tucked the flex cable towards the lcd, I coveted everything. But I think the problem is in covering it with regular black electrical tape. I think after reading a lot. I should try that yellowish orange kapton tape I believe it is.

Thank you Jess, you recently fixed the back light blown fuses on two ipad mini's I sent you. This is one of those ipad mini's that I'm trying to get a digitizer to work on. I have literally tried 4 different digitizers. I don't know what in the world is going on. Surely all of the digitizers can't be bad. But after watching your video. I'm going to go back and check the connector. I pray that's not missing any gold teeth. I have spent so much money on this mini I could have bought another brand new one. But it's a customers. Can you please tell me where to order quality, but not hard on the wallet digitizers? Thank you so much for all your help.
ok, took it apart again, I checked everything with my good magnifying glass. Everything is intact. Nothing damaged. But what i did notice on all the digitizers is a silver boarder. Every one of them. I ordered more the other day. Now i pray they have gold boarders. I'm going to go check my order and hope for the best. Once again I thank you for everything.
