my screen is cracked and i need to fix it if i want to get a upgrade on my plan. i want to get it repaired somewhere with out sending away for a new phone all together

are you needing to upgrade and trade the phone in now or in a few months? The cost of the display is high enough right now that if you can wait, you probably want to. Shops have not been having much success doing a glass only process on these phones so even if you find one that will do a glass only repair, it won't be cheap.

right now the part costs around $160 so your repair cost at a shop is going to be that plus the shops idea of what the liability of that $700 device is worth, plus the risk of damaging that display and having to redo it, plus consideration for the time and work involved.
