How do I clean or replace hvac blower fan?

There is a loud noise coming from my 2009 Honda Pilot center console when the air conditioner is on. The noise will disappear, but not immediately, after turning off the ac. An auto parts store employee said that it was probably the fan that is located within the center console. A website for auto repair advise also suggests that the fan housing is dirty and needs to be cleaned out. I need to learn how to remove the center console so that I can reach the fan.
