How do you unlock the latch to a ribbon cable connector

To replace a broken touchscreen, it's necessary to remove the connector cable from the circuit board. How do you do it? It isn't clear or obvious how the latch is secured, even when looking at it with a magnifying glass. A picture of a closed latch and open latch would help tremendously.

This isnt that specific clip and the clip on the connector might be on the opisite side but the concept is the same. Hope this is the right connector. It has a latch on the side all you have to do is gently flip the latch up and pull the cable out.

Note: The part that flips up would usually be a darker color than the connector.

Got it! Thanks. I wasn't sure if it was the white plastic part that flipped, or what. So it's the smaller dark metal piece that flips toward the white plastic part. It's easy once you know, but never having done it before I wasn't sure. I didn't want to force the wrong part or go the wrong way and break it, so I appreciate the guidance to help me get it done. Thanks again.

Can you post a picture of the connector in question? The only thing I can reference is a Sero 7 digitizer connector, it is a jawbone connector. There should be a small black or white plastic flap on the opposite side of where the cable enters the connector. You will need to flip the flap up, going towards the connector. Then that will release the cable. But, I'm not sure this is the case, so if possible please post a picture

I'm not able to post a picture right now, but it's the top connector shown in Step 4 on this page: Hisense Sero 8 Motherboard Replacement. The component is so small it's hard to tell which part flips and in which direction. Thanks for your assistance.

Ah I see, its a bit different than I thought. There is a black flap on the cable side of the connector, just flip it forwards as if you were rolling it towards the connector.

Thanks, Josh. It's easy after doing it, but since this is my first time working on a tablet, I didn't know. Your advice was helpful.
