SD card are not read, but usb's are, can I fix this?

I have tried everything, including using the fdisk procedure, this truly sucks because I just unlocked my bootloader successfully and now my sdhc cards and card readers will not load. Is there a way I can fix this problem by tinkiring with the motherboard? Is that a bad idea? any help would be nice.

Honestly with any chromebook tinkering with the motherboard is always a bad idea, they are cheaply made. But chrome OS is a open source system, you should be able to do most everything in the OS without disabling anything. My guess would be would be to power wash it back to factory defaults, verify the SD card slot still functions correctly, then try the process for unlocking the bootloader. If it stops working again then the bootloader process your using might be the cause. If the SD card reader still does not work when factory reset, then it might have just went bad.

OK I tried power washing and USB recovery and neither worked, so my guess is that it went bad, can I replace it? If so how? And thanx everyone for responding so quick

The sd port is actually apart the motherboard. Unfortunately the only fix is a replacement motherboard. Sorry. Have you made sure the drivers were installed?

No sir, I have not, can you tell Me how? And also at the os verification screen, instead of it showing Daisy-Snow it shows Daisy Test, that has 2 be the firmware correct?

You type chrome://help into your Omnibox (URL address box). Updating should begin immediately. If not, refresh your screen until it does.

The firware is off, probably when you did whatever you originally did to the chromebook. try to get it out of daisy test by powerwashing it a few times or ty what I posted above and try to manual update it in the browser. Let me know if this helps.

Ok so powerwashing didn't work but i did happen to figure it out anyways by disabling the firmware write protection (flashrom --wp-disable) and reflashing my orig backup of my firmware (flashrom -p linux_spi:dev=/dev/spidev1.0 -w orig_image-snow.bin), then rebooting which fixed some errors (had problems installing arch linux on usb, but not anymore) besides my driver for the sdhc cards, im thinking it went bad but I'm updating to see if anything changes or not, I'll post and let you know. One more thing if could, can you direct me to know how to install arch linux onto partition of chromebook memory, kinda like chrubuntu? Not sure if thats acceptable question here or not but ive tried a lot of ppl to get help on this.

There are 3 possible reason

1.the SD card is not well-inserted in the card reader.reinsert it

2.this SD card broken.

3.your PC is lack of the driver to read a SD card.go to the website of your PC manuafacture to download one

4..the file system of the SD card cant be read by your PC .you could use "minitool partition wizard"to detect it and convert the file system to FAT32 or NTFS easily
