Screen won't turn on. Black pixels and no backlight after keyboard replacement?

Hi so my macbook went through some water damage. Not too serious, but it messed up a couple keys on the keyboard. I replaced the keyboard and it seemed like everything went fine. I go to turn it back on and ... Black. Nothing. I hear the chime and everything. I've checked over 10 times and the LCD cable is definitely in the connector. I took out the cable extremely carefully during the repair and it doesn't look like it's at all damaged. Could it be the other side of the cable? The screen turns black - like darker than when the computer's off, but there's no backlight. It doesn't show any kind of apple logo or anything if i put a flashlight to it, just black. Do I need a new LCD display flex cable? Could it be the open close sensor that thinks its still closed? I know I should test it on an external monitor but I don't have a DVI/HDMI cord so I'll work on getting that here soon. In the mean time any help diagnosing this problem would be much appreciated!

The fuse looks like i might be lifted for the back light.

Can you lift the black plastic cover for the LVDS connector. Need to see the LVDS connector trace.

I hooked it up to my TV it worked. Even with the LCD cable disconnected from the logic board so it didn't really narrow down the problem.

Soo can someone tell me if it'd be worth buying a new lvds cable? And about removing the glass.. Should I also get a replacement rubber frame or can I use the original and have it still look good?
