AR drone v1.0 flying out of my control

My AR Drone1 took off on it's own while I was flying it and was not in my control. What may have caused this and how can I avoid this in the future?

Usually that means that some one else or some or other devices is giving a frequency that took over the control unless there's some thing wrong with your remote elements best is to have it tested to ensure that you devices works correctly before crashing it to pieces.

Thanks. It took of high in the sky and flew about half a block away before crashing to the ground. Thankfully, it was in one piece when I found it.

I'm sorry for only now giving you a reply, but it's a pleasure helping you with what i know.

like i meant is the same with any Radio (Police Radios or normal small house radio, 2 police radio's being used at the same time to close to each other causes a frequency interruption and a small house radio and a cellphone is the same. if the radio is on and your cellphone is close to it when receiving a call also makes a funny sound because the one frequency interrupts another.

If it happens again

But it's best to let the Remote and the devices's receiver bee tested to ensure that it works perfectly
