Headphone jack, power button, volume, silent button not working after

I changed the screen and battery on a wifi ipad 3 and now the headphone jack, power button, volume, silent button are not working after putting it back together. The screen and digitizer work fine but everything connected to that upper ribbon cable are no longer working. I cannot see any damage anywhere along the line. The logic board looks good, no obvious damage. The power button ribbon cable was not damaged when removing the screen. I am trying to decide if I need to replace the whole ribbon cable assembly? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Seems like you happened to cut the Power button assembly at one of the place. Check out at the top right corner just above the volume buttons. The assembly cable passes through there and goes to the power button. This is protected with black rubber latch. Pull that out and you will see if you cut there. If not, it got poked in its assembly line. Before replacing it, check at the right hand side assembly board hidden underneath the frame. May be you happened to poke at the connector plug there. Try to resit it. This is quite rare though. If that didn't fix, you need to replace the assembly for sure. Sorry Matthew. Hope it helps.

I could be wrong but I can't think of where I would have damaged any of the cable. The only part that was ever touched is when I disconnected it from the logic board to change battery. Does the ribbon cable run in series? Because if that is the case the damage is inbetween the headphone jack and where it connects on the logic board. Then if a new ribbon cable isn't the answer the issue is on the logic board, right? I have repaired plenty of iPads but have never had such issues with one. I do have the whole ribbon assembly ordered. I really appreciate any ideas as I learn something new from everyone each day.
