U-shaped piece of rubber from around earphone jack area

I was replacing the home button on my trusty iPhone4 Verizon and everything was going swimmingly until I got to the point of removing the corner screws of the display. The screw near the earphone jack loosened and fell under a nearby assembly. Not wishing to probe around with tweezers, I tipped the case over and the screw fell out along with a U-shaped piece of rubber (7.8mm long x 2.25mm wide x 1.4mm high, with a 0.75mm groove slightly off-center). I could find no obvious home for it, nor anything like it in the pictures. Anybody know where it goes?

the black goes on top of the logic board on the part where it is sticking out. You don't need to put it back to make the phone works.

But if you want to put it back, it should look something like this.

Thanks...I figured the channel had to fit over something. Guess it was loitering under the two cables until I tipped the errant screw out. Also tossed in a new battery & waiting for it to charge.
