I am trying to remove the keyboard on the Macbook, but the two screws on the right side of the case next to the optical drive won't come out. They are turning, but just not coming out. On the inside, I can see that the entire screw is turning, it just is not coming out. Tried using a magnet and wedging it out while unscrewing, but these do nothing. Any ideas?

Was able to find the solution myself. You have to remove the hard drive, and then using a pointed tool, push on the screws from the bottom (inside the computer) as you unscrew, and they come right out just enough to use pliers to pull them out

Are you referring to the two screws to the right of the optical drive when it is turned upside down as shown in step # 10 of this guide? Sustitucion de la carcasa superior de MacBook Core 2 Duo
