Why won't my phone charge/respond to charger or usb chord?

my phone got wet about 5 days ago. after setting it on my wet counter not knowing it was wet, it sat there for about an hour or two. my phone has gotten wet before and the sound usually quits working, & comes back. so i just wiped it off and charged it like normal. i waited for like 3 days till i put it in rice, it sat in rice for about 2 days. it still hasn't dried out yet.

has this happened to anyone else? i'm just thinking about replacing pieces, instead of taking it to apple.

- what should i replace?
