i droppped my iphone and my screen went black with white/purple lines. is it fixable if i replace the whole screen? are they two sepreate parts of a screen or are they both contected?

Replacing the whole display assembly will fix the issue. The display assembly is made with a digitizer which controls the touch function of the display and also the LCD which just displays the image. Nowadays these two parts of the display tend to be fused together during production. So the whole display assembly does include the digitizer and LCD already fused together and is an easier repair then replacing a single part of the display.
