tightening the screw is not the answer to the noise because when I put in a new brush the noise goes away. guitry@ca.rr.com

I have noticed the loud buzzing ONLY when I am using the Sonicare Diamond Head Toothbrushes (purchased at Costco) with my Flexcare+ - When I use the regular Sonicare Toothbrushes the loud buzzing stops. I have purchased the Diamond Head Toothbrushes at Costco 3x now and they all do the same thing - loud buzzing. This happens on my 5 year old Flexcare+ and my newer one I just purchased.

OMG. SAME EXACT PROBLEM. Bought the deal at Costco & came with the diamond brush heads (on my flex care +)

Ive had sonicare brushes forever & it feels like the brush head doesn't fit & rattles.

I also purchased the six pack diamond head replacements from Costco and have the same issue. However, not all the replacement heads in my pack are faulty. After trying them all on both handles handles, I determined that only the heads stamped with the triangle were making the loud noise. Unsure if that's the case for everyone, but two faulty heads out of a pack of six is not a good manufacturing fail rate. Unsure how to proceed with getting this fixed. Should I go to Costco and see if they can make it right? Or contact Philips directly? Perhaps both.

Mine was making a loud noise because the pin where the brush head was loose. I took it apart following the directions I found on youtube for replacing the battery. There is a small phillips head screw at the base of the pin that came loose. I tightened it and now it’s back to normal. Hope this helps.

Why is the toothbrush making so much noise?

The actuator screw is loose and must be tightened. However, the sound does not affect the performance of your toothbrush.

I've noticed these brush heads don't quite fit properly. They have a habit of vibrating loose and make a terrible noise. It's the plastic nipple at the base of the stem vibrating against the metal band at the base of the brush head making this highly annoying high pitched whine. Not all brush heads do this, but so far, all of the Diamond Head brush heads that I've purchased do. What a joke for something that costs such a pretty penny.
