Help! I dropped my iPhone 5c the screen went black and grey then turned off although I can still hear notifications go off and the vibration still works it also gets over heated really quickly I think it's the LCD or the LCD shield plate that's broken or disconnected but how do I tell?

Seems like you need a new front screen. But you can check, carefully reconnect the front screen connectors. If still a problem after this, get a new front screen.
