Installed new battery, won't charge?

Daron Lawson, first make sure that the battery cable is properly inserted on the battery connector. this series iPod has issues with the battery connector solder to the logic board. It does tend to break easily of the board. Double check that. The you want to check the dock connector. Make sure there are not bend, broken or corroded pins. Clean it with some isopropyl alcohol a soft brush and some puffs of compressed air. Try a different cable and a different power adapter. Also, make sure that you have a good battery. See what it does when you reconnect your old battery.
