Why does the camera stop working?

I worked with the camera in the ocean and you will see some sort of sign, I did not read it, but simply turned off the camera.After that I tried to turn on, but the camera does not turn on.

Was the camera exposed to water? If so, how soon after being exposed to water was the device turned off. If the device was exposed to water use rice or another desiccant in order to completely dry out the device. This can take several days.

the camera was turned off by me, because when I photographed and was with it in the water appears on the screen, it was written requirement to enter the main setting.But since the letters were small and it was written much, I decided to just turn off the camera, which I did, and then tried to turn, but it has not been turned on.water could not in the camera, because it was closed. I suspected that the battery could be discharged. When the battery was recharge again and put a camera, it does not include. Checked in dryly. And now, two weeks is not included.

I have the same issue with mine. No visible water damage anywhere, was dried out in bag of rice (and then in a refrigerator for a few days) but nothing. Worked just fine during a snorkel session, but the battery ran out when i was in the water. brought it back with me to land, replaced with full battery later than night and no luck. a couple of days after it started to turn on briefly and then turned off
