My AUX input is cutting in and out?

The outer case is cracked, but when I put the headphones in, I have to move it around in a certain way to get the sound that I want. Like someone trying to move the antenna to that perfect spot to get the clear sound that they want. Is it possible to replace the outer case? Could the AUX input be warped?
