Broken Screen: glass & LCD damage only?

Dropped my 5C today. The replacement part and procedure seem doable... but how can I test to make sure that only the LCD & glass are damaged? (It turns on. Some portions of LCD are still touch-sensitive; some are not.) Thanks!

you need a working screen to test everything. 99% of the times when the glass breaks, al other parts are ok..
