Why won't my DSi charge?

I've looked at a lot of different questions like this, but nothing is like mine. It didn't stop charging just like that. First, I just had to put a little bit of pressure on the charger, then it was fine. After that, I had to but my finger in between the charger and the back of the DS. Then I just had to set it somewhere, take the charger in and out a couple hundred times, then hope that it stays perfectly still. After a few weeks, it just stopped charging all together.
