If you've recently switched from 2.4GHz to 5GHz wifi - this is the problem! Brother printers cannot connect to 5GHz wifi, but if you ask your internet provider, they can split the combined network into two separate networks, a 2.4GHz one and a 5GHz one - then connect your printer to the 2.4GHz!! I spent far too long trying to figure this out, so I hope this saves someone the hassle.

Turn on your Brother Printer

To reset the wireless connection press the Menu button

Press OK.

Select Network Reset.

Press 1 to Select Yes.

Press 1 again to confirm the reboot

The printer will now reboot and the network reset has been successfully done.

Follow the next step in order to connect your Brother Printer to Wi-Fi.

Connect Brother Printer to Wi-Fi

Once you restart the Brother printer after the network reset you’ll see a message Wi-Fi setup will start. Refer to Quick Setup Guide

Then Press OK

Press Ok three times to get inside Setup Wizard

A message will appear on your screen Enable Wlan? Press Ok to accept. Press Ok Again

Wait for a moment while it searches a wireless network

A list of SSID will appear on the screen choose the Wi-Fi network you want to connect with and you need WEP Key/Wi-Fi Password of your router to connect Brother Printer to Wi-Fi

Enter the Wi-Fi password using the Brother Printer Keypad

Next Press Ok and then Press 1 to apply the settings

Here is What i think You Should Do while Having issue With Brother Printer Wireless Connection

1- First Restart Your Router And Brother Printer ( if possible Your Computer Too).

2- Make sure You have the right password for Your printer.

3- You Can Try WPS Key to Connect your Printer with Router if your router and printer does have a WPS key.

Now Uninstall Any previous Printer Driver if you have Installed and Install Your Printer Like Brand New.

Since you are Going to Install it like New One Please Follow These steps to Install the Brother Wireless Printer Please Visit How to setup Brother Printer

See if all this Information Would Help You setup the Printer and Help You Get rid of the Issues You Are Having.

First you have to reinstall the Printer drivers and connect with WiFi and check Printer IP address on router page IF your IP Address is there so Come to your computer and Go to Control panel - printer and devices - and click on left top corner and click on Add devices and you will get your printer name over there and connect with that devices.

Printers are a headache if you don't know where to start. So here are some steps you can follow, depending on your printer:

1. First of all check if the printer has a small interactive screen, where you can navigate through a menu of some sort. If it does, look for an option that says 'setup wizard', then you have to follow the steps the printer gives you. You might have to choose setup wireless network after selecting setup wizard. Afterwards, you might get a screen with a list of wireless networks available, choose your home network (the one you use with your other devices in the house), then it will ask for your password, type it in (password is case sensitive, so be sure to type uppercase letter if needed). After that, you need to wait for a confirmation message saying you are connected to the network. The printer should work.

2. Check if you printer has a wifi button (it is a button that connects to a network automatically.) The button might have a small antenna image, or a wifi image. To use this button you will have to press the setup wireless button on you router/modem first. It should blink, if it does, then go to your printer, press the wifi button, and wait for it to link. If this works, you should get a confirmation message or the wifi button's light will go solid.

3. If your printer doesn't have either a screen or a setup wireless network button (wifi button or WPS), then you should have a usb cable attached to the printer and your computer for it to work. After you connect it, you should look for your printer's setup wizard in you computer in order to setup the wifi settings of the printer.

In most of the cases, people face brother printer won’t connect to wifi due to the incorrect username and password for the wifi. so you should check the password an encryption type first.

If you are still going through similar problem, you need to reset the network settings on your printer and then try to connect your printer again.

all of the answers are wrong, go to http://www.brother-usa.com/support/?WT.s... enter your model number, FAQs, search for "unable to print from computer". follow those steps, please stop giving the agents a hard times as well because we have to sometimes uninstall and then reinstall the software due to you actually corrupting your drivers.

PROBLEM SOLVED... I have multiple ip addresses that I can connect to, like most people now. The trick is to make sure you are connected to the exact same IP address as your printer is on. Once I made sure my laptop was always connected this way, I have had zero issues with this.

I just tried for the last couple of hours to connect my HL-5370DW (it's years old, with no WPS, but I love this printer!) wirelessly with our new cable provider router, as opposed to the router of the cable provider we had just left. I FINALLY succeeded!

TWO THINGS were vexing me when using the Setup wizard with a network cable.

FIRST, the printer wasn't being recognized when searching for available wireless devices. To solve this you need to RESET THE PRINTER'S NETWORK SETTINGS to the factory default. After the reset the Setup Wizard will recognize the printer. From the 55-page Quick Start Guide, p43:

1. Turn off the printer.

2. Hold down the GO button as you turn on the power switch. Keeping the GO button pressed, all the LED lights will light, and then the Status LED will turn off. Release the GO button. All the LEDs should now go off.

3. Press GO six times. All LEDs should light up, and then the printer will restart.

4. The printer will now be recognized.

SECOND, I was continually getting the "FAILED TO ASSOCIATE" ERROR MESSAGE after going through the connection steps (Note: As a guide I was following screen-captured instructions from the last time I had to do this with the previous cable provider).

In my case, the encryption mode for the WPA/WPA2 authentication method changed after getting the new router. Previously, the encryption method was TKIP. The new router, however, was AES. When I changed the encryption from TPIK to AES, the printer connected immediately and all was right with the universe!

You have to follow below simple steps to connect Brother Printer to WiFi router:

1. Click on the ‘Menu’ tab on the machine’s control panel and press OK.

2. Select ‘Network’ and press OK.

3. Select the ‘LAN’ option and again press OK.

4. Find the ‘WLAN’ and click on ‘OK’ to confirm and wait for ‘WLAN enable’ to flash on your screen. After this step, wait for a moment as it will then start the wireless network wizard.

5. The device will now look for the network and display lists of available SSID’s, select the one SSID with which you wish to connect and press ‘OK’.

6. Enter the network key and press ‘ok’ and then select yes in order to apply your settings.

7. The device will now attempt to connect to the wireless device that you had selected. If your wireless device is successfully connected, the machine’s ‘LCD’ screen will display the status as ‘connected’.

8. Download the printer driver software and your machine is ready to print.
