Making the screen work after separating it from the phone?

I want to use the screen or digitizer by completely seperating from the iPhone (it can be near the phone but needs to be disconnected) but still somehow making the screen display the homescreen or just an image- no need to have a touching functionality.

I saw people can do it but it only works with the connection of rubber or via some gadget.

Is there anyway to achieve this? Is it possible to do?
