My Acer R7 laptop used to last for several hours on a single charge, but as of lately, I am lucky if it works for 30 minutes before needing to be plugged into a power source. Does anyone know how to determine whether or not the battery needs to be replaced?

Brian,
In my experience, if the battery used to hold a charge, but won't hold a charge anymore your best option is to just replace it. Trying to figure out why it is not working is more trouble than it's worth.
