iPod doesn't turn on after battery replacement, What should I do?

My iPod nano turned on for a short period of time before it went completely dead, wouldn't turn on no matter what, connecting to the computer or charging. So I replaced the battery. The screen is also cracked. I have not yet replaced the screen since I'm still waiting for the part. Now I plug it in to my computer and still there is no sign of life. Any ideas? Do you think I might have ruined the logic board during the battery replacement or something?

Another possibility is that the connector pins inside the ipod have slipped from their place, by blending themselves. If you remove the black tape from the connector, you might find something like this:

I know maybe it’s way too late for you but, I have done lots of research and this kind of issue seems to be totally un-documented.

By the way, if it’s your case on anyone else’s searching for some luck then try to push them back in place and see if it enters in charging mode.

That's possible. Pop it back open and make sure all connections are snug. Leave it on the charger for a while and maker sure it has a full charge.

I haven't put the back cover on yet. Do you think I should try again with the back cover closed?
