Very frequently, when I try to send text messages or make a call I get a message stating I have an "Invalid Sim Card." I have tried restating the phone but it has not improved the problem.

1. Check to make sure there is a sim card in the device. If there isn't, visit a retail location for your service provider and purchase a new sim card. Have this card activated by your provider.
2. If there is a valid sim card in the sim card slot, sometimes it needs to be removed and reinserted. The sim may not have been properly positioned in the sim card slot and just needed some adjustment.
3. It is possible that you may have a deactivated sim card. Visit a retail location for your service provider and purchase a new Sim card. Have this card activated by your provider.

So I started having problems with my SIM card out of the blue it started today had no problems using my phone earlier today but for some reason it started saying invalid SIM can anyone help me figure out what's wrong if I don't snap out on some people at Straight Talk
Is it prepaid or subscription? If prepaid does it have funds on it? If subscription then is the bill paid up? The contacts of the sim card might be dirty. using an eraser on a pencil erase the dirt on the contacts and clean with a dry cloth. Try again to see if the Sim card has the error.
"Also the contacts in the phone might be dirty. cleaning them will be harder to do because they can break if you are too rough. using fine sand paper see if you can slide a Sim card sized piece into the slot with the sand side down. Should only take a few times in and out if you can even fit a piece into the slot. Use a can of air to blow out any sand that might have come off of the paper. Try again. (I would only do this one as a last resort.)"

this not a sim problem you should country unlock th phone this is windows phone hard to solve it

Also make sure your device is up to date on all the software updates and updates for your device. I have an HTC that kept freezing then wouldn't even get past the opening screen because I neglected to update it. It was a pain in the butt to fix because the guy had to change the whole motherboard inside the phone. Eventually I got it back in working condition but I now make sure that my device is completely updated for the device itself and all software.

UICC unlock (under updates) solved this issue for me. I think this is unique to Sprint. Anyways, this wasn't an intermittent issue for me - I couldn't get past go even though Sprint said my phone was unlocked until I did the unlock UICC.

try different different sim cards , if none of the sim cards are not responding ...no way , you have to replace the sim card tray in your phone .contact the phone service technician ..

Have you tried re-seating your sim card? I have seen these get loose and just not make a good connection with the phone. Take the sim card out, make sure there is no dirt or debree like lint or anything on the card contacts or in the slot in your phone. Re-insert card and make sure it is in there secure. If it is just a loose sim card and it continues to happen try applying a piece of tape or something thin to build it up just enough so the back case puts enough pressure to hold the card in place. Hope this helps!

Try the old 90s way of fixing things, such as when you had an error with your N64: blow on the end(s) of your device where your charger connects. My phone seems to be working okay now after doing this.

I have been using my note4 for 3 weeks now with my sim from u.s. Cellular.then this morning when I went into service area I noticed I couldn't make calls and it was saying invalid sim in my notifications.does anyone know why this would be our what I should do, other than reseating it bcuz I tried and had no luck.thanx
What if the sim card doesn't used for the long time and it becomes invalid sim card. How can I recover it? I don't want to change my sim anymore. Do we have any options?

if you insert 64k,32k or 24k sim it will works
when i brought my smart watch, after inserting sim it shows that an invalid sim
but when i inserted 64k sim it showed that a more storage sim.
after a suggestion of my elder,i inserted 24k sim then it started working.
THIS IS A SMALL SUGGESTION IF IT DOESN'T WORK DON'T MISUNDERSTAND ME

I had this error message for three years on Walmart My Family mobile. When I bought a new phone, I decided to change SIM card, too. Still got the message. Here was MY solution, per LG Support...My plan has no wireless calling, but my phone's default in settings was wireless calling "on." Turn off wireless calling in settings, and message went away!!

I got a new LG Rebel in August 2016 to replace my Samsung Centura. (well I think that's what it was). It was a 3g phone. I travel back and fourth to Canada and NEVER had an issue with the old phone for over a year. The new one starts to read Invalid Sim Card as soon as I cross the border and nothing will fix it, right to tried a full factory reset. Got a new sim card from Tracfone, it worked for 3 weeks, went to Canada again and before even getting across the border I guess i picked up a Canada Cell tower and the 4g LTE LG Rebel started showing Invalid Sim Card message again. Stayed in spite of all that was done by me, tracfone tech etc, until I put in a new sim card. It has worked for well over a month since then and now I'm back in Canada. I shut the phone off before crossing the border and removed the battery so hopefully when i go back to the states it starts up and works no problem. But seems if i cross to Canada or hit a Canadian cell tower it starts to flash the message and nothing but a new activated sim card makes it work again.

My straight talk phone does this when going from VT to NY. I have gone through three phones now.
I have gone through 6 SIM cards on two ZTE Tracfones with the same problem. I now turn my phones off when going into Canada. It seems that Tracfone needs to revise their Java code to prevent this error from occurring. A simple fix that I would like to get to whoever programs their SIM cards.
I called my service provider and they sent me a new card. I had it activated and it works!!

What if u are under someone else's plan, do they call
I have had the 9s for a few months now and today my phone died when I charged it, invalid or unreadable sim card.. I can't make or take calls nor text
