Do I need a new dock or speaker piece?
I have an iPhone 4 Model:A1332.
I have a problem with the sound, or lack of sound... The ringer buttons work and so does the mute switch. There is no external sound, despite me pushing the + and - buttons. When pushing those buttons there is no scale, it is greyed out!
When I place the headphones in, it works! I have noticed that when I have no headphones connected, the iPhone will play the ringtone... But anything else, and it wont emit sound! I think that it is registering itself in dock mode? If the iPhone plays a ringtone, but nothing else could it be the speaker dock?
I have already replaced the headphone jack unit/volume buttons, but still no luck with sound.
From what I have described, do you think the speaker dock is knackered and needs replacing? If not, what else could it be?
TIA!
Es esta una buena pregunta?
Another way of describing the problem:
'My problem was when my headphones were disconnected, there's no sound when playing music on my iPod. There's also no clicking/typing sounds. My phone still rings when someone calls me though. However, it doesn't ring when I receive text messages. No sound at all. When I press the volume buttons with the headphones disconnected, it shows the sign 'Ringer' but without the full volume bar (I hope you guys know what I'm talking about).'
