SMC reset without power button

I watered my MBA a few weeks ago and it stopped working. After a proper cleaning procedure and replacement of the keyboard, it started working again but a few problems have arisen:

1) fans moving very fast and not quitting at all

2) power button not working

3) when fans are on, the MBA is very slow

I would like to reset the SMC in order to understand if I can reboot the system somehow; however, the procedure includes the pressure of the power button.

Is there any possibility to reset the SMC without that button as it doesn't work?

It is possible to jump start the machine. You will have to disconnect the keyboard and short pins.

what does a jump-start cause? is it a total reboot or just a swich on of the machine? I read the link page and it seems just a boot of the MBA. I already disconnected the battery and the machine turns on every time I plug the power adapter.

It is not a total reboot, it just turns on the machine. That said, unplugging the battery and the power for a bit (30 mins?) should accomplish an SMC reset.
